Our Values in Action
At Buena Vista Seventh-day Adventist Church, our core values guide how we live, love, and serve.
They remind us that faith is more than belief — it’s how we treat one another, how we care for our community, and how we live out the love of Jesus every day.

Family
Rooted in Christ, we nurture strong relationships and support individuals and families at every stage of life, building a welcoming church for all generations.
“So we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”
— Romans 12:5

Fellowship
We grow closer to God and each other through deep, faith-driven relationships rooted in worship, support, and care.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
— Acts 2:42

Teamwork
We serve together in unity, using our God-given spiritual gifts to build relationships and work in harmony toward shared goals, fulfilling God’s purpose for our church.
“For we are co-workers in God’s service.”
-1 Corinthians 3:9

Hospitality
We warmly welcome all, creating a space of love and belonging that reflects the heart of Christ.
“Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers…”
-Hebrews 13:2

Community
We build a loving, supportive church family and extend God’s love by engaging and uplifting our neighbors.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:16

Giving
We joyfully give our time, talents, and resources as faithful stewards, supporting God’s mission with generosity.
“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7
