OUR STORY
A Faithful Beginning — 1903
Our church began when two families in Buena Vista felt God calling them to gather, worship, and study the Bible together. Their first building was small and simple—no electricity, just a reed organ, wooden pews, and a wood stove—but their faith was strong, and their hope was in Jesus.
Growing by God’s Grace — Mid-1900s
As more people encountered the message of Jesus and joined the church, God continued to provide. New ministries formed, young families found community, and the simple worship space became a spiritual home for generations.
Expanding the Mission — Late 1900s to Early 2000s
With God’s leading, the congregation stepped out in faith to build and expand. Classrooms, worship space, and ministry areas made room for fellowship, children’s programs, Bible study, prayer, and outreach. Through every season, God showed Himself faithful.
Still Following Jesus — Today
More than 120 years later, we are still here with the same calling: to reflect Jesus, serve our community, and grow as a family of believers. We are a multi-generational church—young and old, lifelong believers and new seekers—walking forward together in faith.

Our mission is to live out the love of Jesus by building a caring church family that serves our community in practical ways, and by walking with others as we grow—from first questions about faith to a life centered on Christ.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in a God who loves us, a Savior who rescues us, and a Bible that gives us hope, purpose, and direction for life. Our faith is built on the life, teachings, death, and resurrection of Jesus—and the promise that He is coming again to make all things new.
The Bible is our foundation.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word—true, trustworthy, and full of good news.
Jesus is at the center.
He lived for us, died for us, rose again, and invites us into a new life of grace and freedom.
Salvation is a gift.
We don’t earn God’s love—it’s given freely through Jesus.
Faith grows in community.
We’re meant to learn, worship, serve, and walk with God together—not alone.
Hope shapes how we live.
